Drake and Lil' Wayne are taking rap battles to a whole new level with their new app released today, created to kick start their tour.
The Capcom app, called "Drake vs. Lil' Wayne (DvsLW)", is a "Street Fighter"-like app where the player/concert-goer selects a rap star to lead through rap battles in the city they are attending the concert in.
Once the rapper and city are picked, the player rapidly presses the bottom of the screen, powering up the rapper, getting him pumped for his rap battle.
The power-up is supposed to impact the actual performances in real life, according to Billboard. It is unclear how the rappers are planning to correlate the app with their performances yet.
"We are both thrilled that our fans will get the unique opportunity to join us in this interactive experience," Drake and Lil Wayne said in a statement.
Tour-specific apps aren't debuted often because they are costly compared to the span of time they will be used, reports Billboard.
Other artists, however, have successfully released tour specific apps in the past, such as One Direction's "1D VIP" app and the Rolling Stones' "50 and Counting" app.
"DvsLW" is available for download for Apple iOS and Google Android.
