Ken Whisenhunt returns to the sidelines as a head coach Saturday in his debut with Tennessee. Eyes will be on the offensive guru and how he's reshaped the Titans' offense, which struggled last season.
"There is no question, I'm going to be excited about it," Whisenhunt said, via the team website. "This is a new situation for me. I'm really excited about it. Our guys are working hard. The fans have been fantastic when I've been out and seeing people. I know it's a preseason game, and it will probably be a little bit different four weeks from now when we play the regular season, but it's fun.
"We've got so many questions that we have to get through the process of trying to answer before we pick our 53, and this is the first step. Naturally, you're going to be excited."
In addition to Whisenhunt putting his touch on the offensive side of the ball, the Titans' new 3-4 defense will make its debut under defensive coordinator Roy Horton.
Titans quarterback Jake Locker, who struggled with injury last season, also returns to the lineup after being sidelined in November. Fans will hope the former first-round pick can stay healthy and start the regular season in a similar fashion to last year, when he started 3-1 before his first injury of the season.
Green Bay, meanwhile, has few questions on offense behind veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay's defense, though, is another story. The Packers sought to upgrade on that side of the ball, beginning with the free agent signing of defensive lineman Julius Peppers and the first-round selection of rookie safety Ha Ha Clinton Dix.
