The Houston Texans play the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday in the 2014 NFL preseason. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will start Saturday night and backup Drew Stanton will follow, but rookie signal caller Logan Thomas is expected to play a nice chunk of time in his NFL debut.
"I'm ready to go," Thomas told the team website. "I'm living out my dream."
Logan has a strong arm, but Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the rookie still is struggling with accuracy. Logan also said he is trying to get a better grasp of the playbook.
"It's a pretty difficult offense to figure out," he said. "It takes a little bit of time. As I keep going forward, I learn more every day, and that's what I have to do."
One player Thomas is unlikely to see on the field Saturday is Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, who will take a number of stats with Houston's first team. Despite already having two Pro Bowls under his belt, Watt still seems to enjoy the preseason.
"I'm trying to go out there, compete, have fun, give myself some good tape to learn from and get our defense going, get our defense live and ready to roll," Watt told his team's website. "Have fun. It's football. There's nothing greater."
