A Disney World Resort worker was arrested Friday on charges of abduction and sexual battery of a colleague in a custodial closet at workplace.
The victim told the police officials that 49-year-old Gideon Paul Hunte held her against a wall in a custodial closet Thursday evening before forcing her onto her knees while attacking her.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's authorities, the incident happened at Epcot theme park. The woman said she believed that Hunte let go of her after her frantic cries, screaming and resistance, reports WFTV.com9.
The attack lasted nearly five minutes. The woman then ran to her supervisor who in turn informed the police about the incident.
Confirming the incident in a statement to MyNews13, Disney World spokeswoman said, "This is a law enforcement matter. He has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the charges. We have zero tolerance for this type of alleged behavior."
Hunte was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail. The neighbors say Hunte is married and has children.
Meanwhile, it seems that e-tailer giant Amazon has problem with Disney's DVD pricing. Amazon.com has blocked the pre-orders of Walt Disney movies 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Maleficent.'
"They are squeezing studios on DVD pricing, understandable given their market position," said Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Securities who rates Amazon the equivalent of a hold, reports The Chicago Tribune. "Disney can't cut them off, and Amazon can cut Disney off, so I would say Amazon has the leverage."
Disney and Amazon declined to comment on the issue.
