A bank robber with a sense of humor is on the loose in New York.
A man was seen on surveillance cameras during eight bank robberies in Nassau County during the span of eight months. The footage gives no direct clues as to who the thief could be, but in each robbery, a man can be seen passing a note to a teller wearing different headpieces. In one shot, he dons a floppy white hat, in another, he wears a baseball hat with a picture of President Barack Obama. Another clip shows the man in a hat with a long wig attached.
The note passed to the teller typically threatens violence and demands cash, according to The Associated Press.
The Chase Bank on 565 West Hempstead Turnpike was robbed twice by this man - once on May 5 - the first reported robbery - and again on July 2.
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano released a wanted flier in June looking for the suspect.
The robber has not yet been found.
