Kate Upton refuses to pose nude for fear of critical comments on social media.
The 21-year-old model has received plenty of attention for flashing a lot of flesh on the covers of several mainstream magazines - including Sports Illustrated and GQ Magazine - but Upton said she isn't too sure about getting completely naked for the camera.
In a new interview with Details Magazine, "The Other Woman" actress admitted that social media played a part in her decision on nude photography. She admitted being afraid of what people online will think and say about her.
"For me those photos are art," Kate said, in regards to nude photography. "Your body is art, your body is beautiful, and to be photographed in that way is amazing and it's received in a very positive way. But with social media and the Internet and not so great blogs and the attention like that, I don't think that my pictures would be received in the way that I'd want them to be received."
Upton, who has one of the most admired bodies in the entertainment business, continued: "That's why I've stayed away from them. I really appreciate those photos and I think those women are beautiful, but I think social media and the Internet has prevented me from putting myself out there like that."
She recently admitted on "Live with Kelly and Michael" that the Yankees banned her from wearing any Detroit Tigers gear while sitting in the Yankee Stadium. The playful request comes after rumored reports stated that Upton is dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander.
"I used to be a really big Yankees fan, but I'm sleeping with the enemy," Upton said. "My boyfriend plays for the Tigers. I had to pick a side. And I felt it too, when I walked in. The Yankees told me, 'You're not allowed to wear a Tigers hat. You're not allowed to wear any Tigers gear.' It's like a bad breakup."
