Robin Williams Death: Actor Remembered Best For Disney Roles

This three-word Twitter post was retweeted over 190,000 times since Monday night, in the wake of Robin Williams' sudden death that sheriffs say was suicide.

Some of the comedian's best work was for Disney, including his role as the genie voice in "Aladdin" (1992).

"'Aladdin' would not be the classic movie it is without his brilliance," wrote news.com.au.

Everyone loved the way the genie could grow as tall as a house and shrink back down into the lamp in a matter of seconds, and the way he could morph into anything (or anyone) he wanted.

"Many of Williams' best lines in the film were off-the-cuff ad libs, the result of a comic genius let loose in a vocal booth," former Walt Disney Studios Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg told LA Times Today.

Other memorable roles Williams had in Disney films include "Old Dogs" (2009) as Dan Rayburn, a co-owner of a sports marketing firm; "Flubber" (1997), as the professor trying to develop a new energy source; and "Popeye" (1980), as the titular sailor.

Willaims was praised as a "a true Disney Legend" for his work in "Aladdin" by Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger.

After Williams' death was announced, Iger released the following statement about the actor:

"We're deeply saddened by the loss of Robin Williams, a wonderfully gifted man who touched our hearts and never failed to make us laugh. An incredible actor and a comedic genius, Robin will always be remembered for bringing some of the world's favorite characters to life, from his zany alien on ABC's 'Mork & Mindy' to the irascible genie in Disney's 'Aladdin.' He was a true Disney Legend, a beloved member of our family, and he will be sorely missed. We join Robin's friends and fans everywhere in mourning, and offer our thoughts and condolences to his family during this difficult time."
