Robin Williams Death: Fake Photo of Actor’s Body Forces Zelda Williams to Delete Social Media Accounts?

Robin Williams' daughter, Zelda, is deleting her social media accounts after Internet trolls sent her a fake photo of her father's body. According to the Daily Mail, Zelda pleaded with her followers to report two Twitter users who were passing around the photoshopped picture.

"I'm shaking. I can't. Please. Twitter requires a link and I won't open it. Don't either. Please," Zelda posted. "Please report @PimpStory and @MrGoosebuster."

She later deleted the tweet and explained that she was going to deactivate her account.

"I'm sorry. I should've risen above. Deleting this from my devices for a good time, maybe forever. Time will tell. Goodbye," Zelda wrote.

On her Instagram account, she also posted a note alerting fans that she might get rid of the site until she "heals."

"I will be leaving this account for a bit while I heal and decide if I'll be deleting it or not. In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends. Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary," Zelda wrote.

"There are a couple throughout, but the real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or 'selfies.' I shared him with a world where everyone was taking their photo with him, but I was lucky enough to spend time with him without cameras too," she added. "That was more than enough, and I'm grateful for what little time I had. My favorite photos of my family are framed in my house, not passed on social media, and they'll remain there. They would've wound up on the news or blogs then, and they certainly would now. That's not what I want for our memories together. Thank you for your respect and understanding in this difficult time. Goodbye. Xo."

According to TMZ, the picture was pulled from a Spanish language website that deals with strangulation and has photos posted as illustration.

"The image that was sent around Tuesday night resembles Robin, but it was posted several years ago," the site wrote.

Robin Williams, 63, committed suicide in his California home on Monday, Aug. 11.
