Utah's Nude Sunbather, 76, Fights Lewdness Charges

Talk about an unholy sight!

A 76-year-old Utah man, who police say was sunbathing nude in his backyard next to a church parking lot, has plead not guilty to lewdness charges, The Associated Press reported.

Myron Lee Kipp showed up fully clothed in Farmington, Utah, court Tuesday and plead not guilty to four counts of lewdness involving a child and three counts of lewdness, the Standard-Examiner of Odgen reported. All charges were misdemeanors.

Kipp's neighbors called police to his house on March 5. The officer could see the man, and his genetalia, from the church parking lot, court documents show. The backyard fence is chain link and doesn't have privacy slats.

Kipp, while completely nude, told the officer "he was sunbathing and that it was his property and he could do it if he wanted," court documents said.

Several parents reported they and their children could see Kipp from the parking lot.

Oddly enough, the temperature on March 5 at 1.p.m., when Kip was arrested, was 54 degrees with scattered clouds and south winds, according to the Standard-Examiner via the National Weather Service. That's pretty chilly for nude sunbathing.
