Exes Rita Ora and Calvin Harris aren't playing nice.
The "How We Do" singer stopped by "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" Tuesday, where she revealed that her ex-boyfriend was the reason why she was unable to perform at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards over the weekend.
"For anybody who doesn't understand how it works, he wrote and produced the song," the singer explained. "So he has to approve anything TV-wise for anybody who doesn't get it. And obviously he owns the rights to it, and he didn't approve the Teen Choice Awards."
The 23-year-old singer was scheduled to perform her hit single "I Will Never Let You Down," which was reportedly produced by the Scottish DJ. Ora cancelled her appearance on the award show, despite planning for her performance for "about a month."
"I could have got told a few weeks earlier, you know," she said. "That would have been nice. It was a last-minute change, but you know what, it happens, and we move on and move forward. You know, you write a song with somebody, and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it ... Everything happens for a reason, that's how I look at it."
The singer said she is still a huge fan of the song, which was "written out of love." Ora and Harris ended their relationship in June after nearly a year together. Harris confirmed the couple's split, tweeting: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."
In Glamour's September issue, Ora said that she was "not doing too great" after her split with Harris, adding "I adore him and he's such an amazing human being. It was more about the situation. It was inconvenient. It sucks. It wasn't about 'us.' It was about the world we live in."
Us Weekly confirmed that Ora is now dating designer Tommy Hilfiger's son Richard Hilfiger.
