Katharine McPhee Divorce: Singer's Estranged Husband Claims Wife Cheated And Lied

Nearly two months after Katharine McPhee filed for divorce from Nick Cokas, the singer's estranged husband has filed new divorce documents accusing McPhee of being a cheater and liar.

Last year, McPhee was photographed kissing "Smash" director Michael Morris. Seven months later, she filed for divorce from her husband of six years. In her documents, the former "American Idol" contestant claimed she had separated from Cokas for some time before the picture was taken.

However, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, Cokas stated he had evidence proving that he and McPhee were together during her affair, and even received marriage counseling at the time.

McPhee's divorce documents stated that the couple separated in March 2013, which was months before she was photographed with Morris. Cokas' documents claim that he and McPhee separated in May 2014, after her relationship with Morris ended. The 49-year-old said he had emails and texts to prove that his dates were accurate.

Several publications reported that McPhee and Cokas had reconciled their relationship after the cheating scandal. In March, the former couple, who married in Beverly Hills in February 2008 after dating for three years, were seen walking their dogs together.

In May, a representative for the actress released a statement regarding her divorce, saying, "After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time."

The separation date is taken into consideration when deciding how much money will be shared. TMZ reported that Cokas is seeking spousal support.
