Ryan Murphy just added the "World's Smallest Woman" to the Season 4 cast of "American Horror Story," subtitled "Freak Show." He made the announcement on Twitter by sharing a photo of current cast member Jessica Lange hugging her new costar, Jyoti Amge.
According to the Guinness Book of Records and Limca Book of Records, the 20-year-old stands just over 2-feet tall. Besides posting a picture of Amge, Murphy has yet to reveal any more details about her "Freak Show" character.
This isn't the first time Amge landed a TV gig, she was featured in a 2009 documentary called "Body Sock" and she also appeared on an Indian reality show similar to "Big Brother." Murphy also revealed via Twitter that "All My Children" star Finn Wittrock joined the cast in an unspecified role.
Now on to some juicy new details. TV Line got the scoop on Gabourey Sidibe's "Freak Show" character and said "Ryan Murphy & Co. are doing a 180 with regard to Gabourey Sidibe's role in the new cycle."
Reportedly she will play a well-off, impeccably tailored graduate of the Barbizon school who returns to Jupiter, Fla. to handle a family matter. The character's name hasn't been revealed yet but it was previously announced that singer Patti LaBelle would play the mother.
According to Entertainment Weekly, LaBelle's character is a local townsperson who figures out Twisty the Clown's secret. Unfortunately, that doesn't sound good for LaBelle's character. Murphy previously said Twisty will be the "scariest creation so far" and executive producer Tim Minear added that it will "scare the shit out of you."
It wasn't officially revealed who will wear the creepy clown costume but rumors claim John Carroll Lynch was cast as Twisty. Lynch recently uploaded a sneak peek of the costume to his WhoSay page.
