Details about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 4 phablet have been leaked before its scheduled unveiling.
While the South Korean company's new device is scheduled to be introduced on Sept. 3, details have been revealed online on a product page from Indonesian Internet retailer Erafone, according to CNET. The page discusses the price tag and almost every other spec in fully detail.
The leak shows that the smartphone will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED 1,440x2,560-pixel display and 4GB of memory. It is also shown to offer consumers a choice between 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, along with the option to add a microSD card capable of holding up to 128GB of data.
There have been rumors about the Note 4 for at least the past month, with people wondering if the device will be an improvement over its predecessor, the Note 3, CNET reported. Samsung is facing several challenges, such as declining profit due to competition in growing regions, as it looks to release a new and improved model.
The Note 4 is also shown in the leak to feature a rear camera that has a 16-megapixel sensor, the International Business Times reported. The camera also comes with optical image stabilization and duel-LED flash.
The launch of the Note 4 is set to take place at this year's IFA, and Samsung is expected to reveal the device's release date at the event, Gotta Be Mobile reported. In order to compete with Apple, Samsung is also expected to make the phablet available sometime in September before the release of the iPhone 6, which is rumored to be released on Sept. 17th.
