Porn star Christy Mack is still recovering in a hospital after being brutally attacked over the weekend, but is already telling her friends that she wants to return to work once she recovers. Mack was allegedly attacked by her boyfriend, MMA fighter War Machine (real name Jon Koppenhaver) on Aug. 8 in her home.
The attack left her with "18 broken bones around her eyes, a broken nose, missing teeth, a fractured rib and a ruptured liver," TMZ reports.
"She has a long road ahead of her to heal but she knows that when she is 100 percent healthy, she will return to porn," a source told Hollywood Life. "With all the news on her and this situation, she knows that people will be more interested in her work and she will take advantage of that and get some great pay days out of it."
Mack told TMZ that she and War Machine split in May but on Friday night he showed up to her house and allegedly beat her up. A male friend was home with the porn star at the time of the attack, but War Machine reportedly kicked him out.
Mack claims that her ex-boyfriend didn't say a word to her before he allegedly started attacking her. She told TMZ that the fighter made her strip naked and shower in front of him, before allegedly beating her again.
Mack also said War Machine "sawed much of my hair off with [a] dull knife" and, allegedly, threatened to rape her but couldn't perform. According to TMZ, Mack bolted from her house naked and begged a neighbor for help.
The neighbor took Mack to the hospital, where she is still recovering. Since the attack, War Machine has been in hiding. Las Vegas police have an arrest warrant out for him and there's a $10,000 reward for anyone who has information leading to his whereabouts, TMZ reports.
