When a Jewish store owner came into his business to open Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, he was greeted by fliers containing several swastikas along with the words "Wanted" and "Warning."
The owner, who asked not to be named, couldn't believe these anti-semitic actions were happening in his city.
"I don't know why some people are against Judiasm," the owner said to CBSLA. "I was...deeply very sad, and I'm thinking, 'Calm down, think about it.'"
The business is located near UCLA, and the students there are just as surprised that this happened right in their backyard.
"This is ridiculous," said student Shannon Charrette. "My boyfriend's Jewish, I have so many Jewish friends, there's a Jewish frat down the street, and I cannot believe this is happening."
After finding the fliers, the owner turned to Rabbi Boruch Cunin for advice. He told the owner that he is not surprised about the fliers, due to the recent Gaza conflicts between Israel and Hamas.
Throughout the world, there is an increasing amount of violence against Jews due to Israel's recent military effort to stop Hamas rockets and tunnels in Gaza, called Operation Protective Edge, reports CBSLA.
