War Machine Captured By Police In California

Fugitive MMA Fighter War Machine, who has been on the run after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack last Friday, was apprehended by police at a hotel in Simi Valley, C.A., Jezebel reported on Saturday.

He is said to have been been caught in possession of "a pizza and a small amount of cash." Police and Dog the Bounty Hunter also visited his home in San Diego, where they recovered his exotic snakes. War Machine, whose real name is Jon Koppenhaver, has been taken to Ventura County Jail. He had seven arrest warrants against him.

Mack's friends and family say they're relieved he's been caught, according to TMZ.

Mack suffered 18 broken bones around her eyes, a broken nose, missing and broken teeth, a fractured rib and a punctured liver. This isn't the first time her ex-boyfriend had beat her, but she has never sustained injuries like she did on Friday, Mack said in the statement.

"I believed I was going to die," Mack stated on Twitter Tuesday.

A third party who has been identified as Corey Thomas was also involved in the altercation, and sustained injuries from Koppenhaver.

Dog the Bounty Hunter joined the hunt for Koppenhaver when he announced over Twitter on Thursday that he was going to give the fighter 24 hours to turn himself in before he'd come looking for him.
