South Carolina Mother Arrested for Cursing at Children

A South Carolina woman was arrested after a shopper complained she cursed at her children at a grocery store, WJBF reported.

Danielle Wolf, from North Augusta, was grocery shopping at Kroger on Aug. 10 with her children and husband when a fellow shopper claims she heard Wolfe use profanity toward her children.

According to the shopper, Wolfe said "Stop squishing the f---ing bread" after her children kept squeezing the loaf.

The shopper then asked Wofe not to use that language toward her children, WJBF reported.

But according to Wolfe, that's not what happened.

Wolfe said the shopper followed her and her family and said, "'You said the f-word', and I'm like, 'When did I say this to my kids?'" Wolf told WJBF.

Wolfe said she was actually talking to her husband, not her children, after he put frozen pizza on top of the bread.

Wolfe was arrested at the scene on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Under North August law, disorderly conduct reslts from "[uttering], while in a state of anger, in the presence of another, any bawdy, lewd or obscene words or epithets," according to North Augusta's website.

The police officer asked the witness if she would be able to testify about what she saw in court, and she said yes, according to Pix11.

"He was like, 'You're under arrest,' right in front of my kids, in front of my husband, in front of other customers," Wolf told WJBF.

The witness, who told police she didn't want Wolfe to get arrested, has since called Wolf to apologize, according to WJBF. But she did say she heard Wolf using profanity multiple times and that the words reminded her of her abusive childhood.

"I didn't harm nobody. I didn't hurt nobody. The lady said she was having a bad day," Wolf said. "So, because you're having a bad day you're going to ruin somebody's life?"

Wolf is due in court Sep. 12.
