Brita has recalled nearly 242,500 children's water filter bottles Tuesday after receiving 35 reports of broken and cracked lids, according to The Associated Press.
Brita's hard-sided bottles' "lids can break into pieces with sharp points, posing a laceration hazard," according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). No injuries have been reported.
The recalled bottles are 6 inches tall and carry 15 ounces of liquid. They are: a violet Dora the Explorer bottle with UPC code 60258-35883, a pink Hello Kitty bottle with UPC code 60258-35914, a blue SpongeBob SquarePants bottle with UPC code 60258-35880 and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles green bottle with UPC code 60258-35882, according to CPSC.
Each bottle has a white lid with fold-up straws, filters and a Brita logo.
The model number of the recalled items is BB07, and can be found on the removable plastic wrap around the bottle, AP reported.
The bottles were available for purchase at Amazon.com, Target.com, Drugstore.com, Alaska Housewares, Associated Food Stores, Bartell Drug, C Wholesale Grocers, Quidsi, Royal Ahold, Shopko, Target, Walmart and US Navy Exchange, and were priced from $13 to $19.
