After 12 years together, Courteney Cox and David Arquette have finalized their divorce.
According to TMZ, the couple who separated more than two years ago have finally come to an agreement and finalized their divorce. The couple, who met on the set of "Scream" married on June 12, 1999 and separated back in October 2010 but did not file for divorce until last June.
In the divorce papers, both Cox and Arquette requested joint legal and physical custody of Coco, 8. The couple said they would remain friends and continue to raise their daughter together.
Back in January, Cox, 48, was on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" where she opened up about the divorce. She revealed that Arquette is her "best friend in the whole world."
"I appreciate David more now than I ever did. I mean. . . it's hard. I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more," the former "Friends" star explained to DeGeneres. "I hope he does. I do."
After her appearance on the show, People reports that after speaking with Arquette, he said "She's incredible. ... I love her, too, and she's an amazing person, a beautiful person."
Just a few weeks ago, Cox reunited with former "Friends" stars Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for a mini-reunion. The appearances from the cast members have sparked a rush of rumors indicating that a much bigger reunion is on the horizon between the cast.
Cox currently stars in "Cougar Town" on TBS, which will return next year for a fifth season.
