'Batman vs. Superman' Movie Update: Production Heading To Morocco In September; Photos Of Henry Cavill On Set Surface

The “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production is heading to Africa. Nassim Abassi, a film producer and director, confirmed on his Twitter account the production will begin filming in Morocco from Sept. 1 to Dec. 13.

Abassi didn’t confirm which actors would be heading to Africa, but multiple reports are speculating Morocco could be the backdrop for Aquaman’s Atlantis or Wonder Woman’s Themyscira.

The “Batman vs. Superman” production has attempted to keep details about film under wraps, but photographs from the set have leaked online. Some of the most recent set images include Henry Cavill walking around wearing a black rob.

“Before I took the role, Warner Bros. gave me a bunch of past reactions to casting and said, ‘Are you sure you want to get into this? This is part and parcel of these movies now. There’s a lot of active fans with a lot of opinions.’ To me, having been through a certain amount of that, it doesn’t really… Everyone’s entitled to their opinion,” Affleck told EW.

Affleck explained he trusted in Snyder’s vision and wouldn’t have taken the role if he believed he was setting himself up for failure.

“I wouldn’t have taken the part if I didn’t trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking. I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script,” Affleck said. “Zack’s a great visual director. And there’s an interesting take. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think I could do it. I have the benefit of a lot of that understanding. But also, everyone is entitled to their opinion.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
