The "Today" show co-anchor and "The Voice" host Carson Daly and his fiancée Siri Pinter welcomed daughter London Rose on Wednesday. The newborn weighed 8 lbs., 11 oz. and measured 22 inches.
Daly video chatted with the rest of his "Today" show colleagues Thursday to give them an update on his fiancées and daughter's condition
"Baby and Siri are right here [and] they're doing very well," he said. "It's incredible. We thought this was going to happen on Saturday and it didn't. We went home. It was a long couple days of waiting. Finally yesterday I got a call ... It was Siri saying, 'Come on, come on! It's happening right now!' and like out of a movie, I sped to the hospital and they were literally waiting for me to get there, and we had our beautiful baby girl, and all is miraculous."
The couple, who got engaged in June 2013, are already parents to 5-year-old son Jackson James and 23-month-old daughter Etta Jones. Daly explained that his newborn daughter was named after his grandmother.
"Rose was my grandma's name," he explained. "So we have a lot of family history in the names. Even when little London came out, we were still throwing out our last-minute short list, and London Rose Daly was the one."
He called his fiancée a warrior and added that he was "amazed by her poise, grace and strength during this miraculous process,"
He added that "watching Jack and Etta meet their new sister was like watching a scene in a movie, directed by God."
Daly's colleague Savannah Guthrie welcomed her first child with husband Michael Feldman last week.
