Nick Cannon doesn't seem to be all that affected about his split from Mariah Carey, according to a new video the actor posted on Twitter. The "America's Got Talent" host accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Spice Girls' Mel B and stripped naked (with a towel covering his lower half) before dumping a bucket of cold water on his head.
Earlier in the day (Aug. 21) Cannon confirmed reports that his marriage to Carey was on the rocks. The 33-year-old told "The Insider" that there was "trouble in paradise" and said he and his wife have not lived under the same roof in months.
"We have been living in separate houses for a few months," Cannon said.
A source told US Weekly that Carey and Cannon split back in June and the relationship "has been shaky for a while, but it all came to a head recently."
Cannon refused to tell "The Insider" what caused the split but did dismiss rumors that it was due to infidelity.
"My main focus is my kids," Cannon added.
The couple, who got married 2008, are parents to twins Monroe and Moroccan. TMZ reported that divorce lawyers have already been contacted and the couple is negotiating a property settlement as well as custody agreement.
A source told the site that things reportedly went downhill back in March when Cannon appeared on Big Boy's radio show and dished about his sex life with the "Honey" singer and past hookups. During the interview, Big Boy asked Cannon to name five girlfriends, which he did. Sources claim Carey went off when she heard Cannon name Kim Kardashian as an ex.
"We're told Mariah tore into Nick for weeks... feeling humiliated and the relationship never recovered," TMZ wrote. "We're told it went from bad to worse when Nick went on Howard Stern and talked about Mariah not giving it up before they got hitched. She went nuclear."
