Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo looked efficient in his preseason debut last week against the Baltimore Ravens, completing four of his five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Although Week 3 typically serves as a dress rehearsal for the regular season with starters playing into the third quarter, Romo admitted he's uncertain how long he'll be on the field.

"I don't think there is an exact number," Romo said, via the team website. "I know we'll talk about it and come up with the plan on how we're going to do it, but you'll have a set kind of thing and then feel it out as the game goes."

Romo didn't appear to have any setbacks from playing in his two possessions against Baltimore, but he sat out Wednesday's practice as he has most of the training camp.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett acknowledged the team still wants to be careful with the Romo's workload.

"We don't really use the word cautious as much as we try to use the reps we think are necessary to get him ready to go to play against San Francisco in Week 1," said Garrett.

Miami is also expected to play the majority of their starters well into the second half. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has played well in limited preseason action, and his high completion percentage through the two exhibition games indicates a better grasp of the offense.

The Dolphins' running game hasn't looked great so far, but that could change with tailback Knowshon Moreno potentially getting his first snaps as a Dolphin Saturday night.
