The New Orleans Saints play the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday in Week 3 of the 2014 NFL preseason. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast via the links provided below.
One question the Colts' offense has is whether veteran receiver Reggie Wayne will be able to return to Pro Bowl former. Wayne earned his sixth Pro Bowl nod in 2012 and looked on pace to earn another in 2013 before tearing his ACL seven games into the season.
Wayne hasn't yet taken the field in 2014, something he hopes changes in Saturday's dress rehearsal for the regular season.
"He's arrogant towards caution," Wayne joked of coach Chuck Pagano's decision not to play him thus far in the preseason, via the team website. "I did hear somewhere he said he might (let me play), so I guess there is hope. But at the same time, if he says no go, then I guess it's a no go. The one thing about it is, I am ready, whenever he gives me the opportunity, to go out there and do whatever I can."
Despite having 14 NFL seasons under his belt, Wayne said he still needs the preseason tune-ups.
"I just want to go out there, and just be out there with my teammates," he said. "I'm here thinking about helmets collide, and the pads hit each other. Just go out there and get a real live game under my belt."
Saturday also could be the preseason debut of Saints quarterback Drew Brees. New Orleans has been cautious with the veteran, who strained his oblique in training camp, and hasn't wanted to risk him aggravating his injury and missing any regular season games.
Although the Saints' team website reported Brees would play Saturday, it's uncertain how many snaps he will play.
