Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, have already pushed wedding plans back twice due to surprise pregnancy news. Even though Simpson has a couple more months to go before she gives birth to her baby boy, she is already thinking about her wedding. A close friend of Simpson's told US Weekly, that the singer is definitely ready to walk down the aisle.
At her April 14 baby shower the friend reveals that she was "telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born."
Simpson and Johnson have been engaged since the fall of 2010. They pushed the wedding back after Simpson announced she was pregnant with her daughter Maxwell, who is now 13 months.
The friend also revealed that because Simpson wants to walk down the aisle soon after delivering the baby she has been treating this pregnancy different than her first. She hired a personal chef who cooks "calorie-conscious" meals for the star so she can keep her weight gain under control. Simpson gained 70 pounds when she was pregnant with Maxwell.
"The chef is there all day," the friend told Us Weekly. "Jessica eats things like egg whites and sausage. It's healthier."
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in March, Simpson said she ate whatever she felt like but is trying to watch what she eats this time around.
"The first pregnancy, I like, let loose and I kind of ate everything that I wanted to eat and I just really enjoyed it," Simpson told DeGeneres. "This time around I think because I was doing Weight Watchers and I felt super healthy I'm not really craving as much and I know how hard it is to get off, so I'm trying to make healthier, wiser decisions."
