A Mississippi man claims to have discovered Big Foot's footprint.
Peyton Lassiter was walking along Wisconsin Avenue last week when he came across a giant footprint of what he believes is that of Big Foot's, according to MS News Now.
"It's nine inches long and the width of what appears to be toes or claws, if you will, is six inches wide and that right there isn't human," Lassiter said.
Since 2004, there have been more than 4,550 sightings of Big Foot throughout the U.S., with the most coming from Washington (585) and the least coming from Rhode Island and Delaware (5), according to the Geographic Database of Big Foot / Sasquatch Sightings and Reports.
After making a cast of the footprint, Lassiter reached out to Delta Paranormal Project co-founder David Childers, who says he saw "Sasquatch" in the woods of Vicksburg last year in November.
"I just happened to turn around real quick. I saw this creature. It was about six, seven foot tall and it's hard to exactly get the correct height because of the distance away from me but it stood up and just jetted off ... it happened so quick, but I know it was ... a grayish brown color. I know for a fact it wasn't a bear or a deer," Childers said.
But unfortunately, Childers said he couldn't take a picture because it happened too fast.
The two got together over the weekend to investigate, according to MS News Now.
Just last month, a video was posted on YouTube called "Big Foot Sighting in Sundance, Utah," according to Fox 6 Now.
Fox 6 Now reports scientists usually discount Big Foot's existence since there is no physical evidence.
Childers said he will return to the woods to get evidence and plans on placing recording devices in the area where he saw Big Foot.
