Rapper Joe Budden is lashing out against the New York Police Department after being accused of assaulting his former girlfriend.
MTV News reported that the 33-year-old "Pump it Up" rapper directed several tweets towards the NYPD on Saturday, after the department sent out a picture of the rapper asking the public for help in tracking him down.
"I'm gonna sue the living s*** out u gentlemen. @NYPDnews," Budden wrote in one post. "Manhunt.... Suck my d-k, lol."
In other posts the rapper wrote, "I'll be in a strip club in Astoria tonight. Let the "Man hunt" know. @NYPDnews," and "Glad to see our tax payer dollars being put to good use ! Lol."
Budden was accused of dragging his former girlfriend out of a New York City restaurant and forcing her into his car. He reportedly took her phone, choked her and slammed her head into the dashboard of his car before driving back to his New Jersey home where he continued to rough her up.
Over the weekend, the NYPD tweeted a picture of the rapper and stated that he was wanted for robbery.
Budden's attorney released a statement to MTV, which read, "Mr. Budden looks forward to an opportunity to responsibly deal with and address the allegations against him so he may establish the actual facts of the night in question. Mr. Budden has fully cooperated with the investigation. Mr. Budden asks for patience as the evidence and facts unfold to demonstrate the truth of his involvement and the real events that transpired on the night in question."
