Pakistan won the first of their three-ODI series against Sri Lanka with a four-wicket (D/L method) victory. Sohaib Maqsood took the Man of the Match award after posting a team-high 89 runs. Fawad Alam added 62 runs, and Ahmed Shehzad chipped in with 49 runs. Wahab Riaz led Pakistan's bowling efforts with nine outs and three wickets, and Mohammad Irfan accounted for nine outs and two wickets.

Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews also scored a team-high 89 runs, but with the exception of Mahela Jayawardene's 63 runs, received little offensive support from his batsmen. Mathews also took two wickets and recorded nine outs, and Thisara Perera took a pair of wickets and logged seven outs.

The match will take place at Mahinda Rajapksa International Stadium in Hambantota, Sri Lanka. Weather.com forecasts a partly cloudy day with temperatures reaching as low as 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind, which is expected to reach 21 mph, could be a factor.
