"The Price Is Right" waited 40 years to add its first male model to present contestants with a brand new car or the prizes inside the Showcase. The game show is on the hunt again for another lucky lad to join host Drew Carey and his lovely female presenters.
CBS will hold a national competition across the United States to find the show's second male model. The winner will appear in a total of five episodes. The search begins on Sept. 6 in Boston, before moving on to Dallas, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Potential models can also apply online.
Judges will base their decision on the guys' personality, ability, and entertainment value and creativity. Semi-finalists will win a trip to Los Angeles to compete in a six-episode web series where fans will cast the final vote for the winner. Voting will take place between Dec. 1 and Dec. 5.
The show will announce a winner on Dec. 5. The model chosen will tape their episodes from Dec. 6 to Dec. 10.
Rob Wilson won "Price's" first open casting call in 2012. The model from Boston, Massachusetts beat out hundreds of other models to become the show's first male model in history. He remained on the show through the spring of 2014.
"I thank God for such an amazing experience/opportunity and for being a part of history. That's all I ever wanted," Rob tweeted after taping his final episode in April.
