Time Warner Cable left users nationwide without internet for hours this morning after an issue occurred during routine maintenance, causing angry customers to turn to Twitter.
Time Warner customers did not have any internet access from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. this morning, reports The Associated Press.
The exact cause of the problem that affected 80 percent of subscribers, according to The Washington Post, is still under investigation.
Other major telecom providers have also slipped up recently, causing major internet outages, though most of them were not entirely nationwide. Most recently was AT&T's outage earlier this year in April, hitting all the major cities across the country.
