It is very odd to see a Hollywood couple's relationship last longer than a few months but Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have defied the odds as they celebrate eight years together.
The actor told Cosmopolitan, the secret to a successful marriage.
"You have to want it. Jenna's and my thing is checking in with each other all the time, like 'On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you love me right now?' And you gotta be honest, and you've got to want an honest answer," the "21 Jump Street" star said. "I told a friend to do that. He asked the question and it turned into a huge fight, and I'm like, that's kind of the point. Obviously, something needed to be fixed, he needed to be aware of it, and she needed to get it off her chest."
The couple met on the set of their film "Step Up" in 2006 and married in 2009. The 32-year old actress announced last December that she and Tatum are expecting their first child together. The couple has not confirmed whether they are having a boy or girl.
Tatum also revealed he has a love for food, calling himself a "fat kid on the inside" but has to "fluctuate about 25 to 30 pounds between movies."
Channing, 33, is set to star in "White House Down" with Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The film is set to hit theaters on June 28.
