A group of adult film actresses in Japan will be hosting a breast-squeezing event for AIDS prevention on Saturday, according to the Herald Sun.
The annual event, which is roughly translated into "boob-aid," was launched in 2003 to provide funds for the Japan Foundation for AIDS Prevention. It will run for 24 hours, while being televised. It is now backed by the foundation, as well.
The nine stars told local media they could barely contain their excitement, but asked that fondlers please be gentle.
"I'm really looking forward to lots of people fondling my boobs," said Rina Serina, according to Tokyo Sports, "but I would be very happy if you would please be delicate."
Serina added: "I never thought my boobs could contribute to society."
Fellow actress Iku Sakuragi has no issues with being groped by hundreds of hands.
"It's for charity. Squeeze them, donate money - let's be happy," she said, according to the Herald Sun.
The event follows sexist heckling of an assemblywoman in Tokyo that hit the headlines, highlighting that old-fashioned views towards women are still common in Japanese society. Lawmakers from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ruling party subjected Assemblywoman Ayaka Shiomura to taunts like "Why don't you get married?" during a debate on motherhood.
Japan has one of the world's lowest rates of female workforce participation. A lack of childcare facilities, poor career support and sexism are blamed for keeping women at home and out of work.
