Well, that was fast! Just two weeks after getting engaged, "19 Kids & Counting" Jessa Duggar and fiancé Ben Seewald are living together.
Duggar patriarch Jim Bob Duggar told People Magazine that his future son-in-law is living "in the guesthouse in front of our house, with a shower and everything, separate from the main house." The 19-year-old lived four hours away with his parents in Hot Springs, Ark., and decided to move into the Tontitown, Ark., residence to spend more time with his new fiancée.
Jim Bob said he discussed the topic with his wife before making any decision and added that Seewald moved in before he and Jessa announced their official engagement.
"He moved up here a few weeks ago," Jim Bob said. "It has been really good. He has been able to spend a lot more time with Jessa and our family."
He added: " After Michelle and I were talking about it, we have so many projects to do that we need help for - everything from construction projects to keeping the grass mowed to putting roof on a building, paperwork and things like that - and we asked him if he would be interested in moving up here so that Jessa and his relationship could be really accelerated. He was all for it, and his parents were happy about it."
In a preview clip for the show Jessa, said it "will be awesome to get to spend more time with Ben and see him on a daily basis instead of once or twice a month." Despite their living situation, Jim Bob told People that the couple will still have chaperones on dates and a curfew.
"They always have a chaperone," Jim Bob explained. "It has just worked out great. It is a little more labor-intensive for Dad - we did set a curfew. By midnight, every night, we need to make sure everybody is back in their place".
The couple, who announced the engagement earlier this month, has reportedly set up its own courtship standards, similar to Jessa's sister Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard, who saved their first kiss for their wedding day.
"They did not hold hands until they got engaged. After they got engaged, they started holding hands. Just like Jill and Derick, they will be saving their first kiss for their wedding day," Jim Bob said.
