Shakira is pregnant again!
In an interview with Cosmopolitan México, the 37-year-old singer confirmed that she was expecting her second child with her long-term love, soccer player Gerard Piqué. The couple are already parents to 19-month-old son Milan.
"Well yes, the truth is that I am pregnant," the Colombian beauty told the publication.
The magazine also revealed that the couple is expecting a boy. The revelation comes after weeks of pregnancy speculation.
Last month, Noticias Caracol reported that the "She Wolf" singer was three months pregnant. The publication quoted singer Carlos Vives, who said that the singer was happy about the pregnancy and has been "taking a lot of precautions" to securing a healthy pregnancy.
Last week, the couple took the ALS challenge together, and the singer managed to hide her growing baby bump under a loose black shirt. Shakira met her 27-year-old beau while promoting her 2010 World Cup anthem "Waka Waka - Time for Africa."
In an interview with Ocean Drive magazine, Shakira said that "the balance of power is equal" between her and Piqué, and added that "relationships have to be give and take if they're going to work in the long term."
In June, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer told Glam Belleza Latina that she and her boyfriend are happy.
"We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other and a baby," Shakira told the magazine. "I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one."
