Former 'NSYNC member Lance Bass told a Las Vegas radio station show that he is concerned for Amanda Bynes, People magazine reports. He called into the "Mark and Mercedes" show and spoke about Bynes saying "It's one of those situations where obviously there's some mental problems there and she's not able to see that. We all are [able to see it]."
Bass said the two have been friends since they met on the set of the movie "Love Wrecked" in 2005, which Bass produced. He did not say how long it has been since he has last spoken to Bynes but said he thinks she needs to get some help.
"No one is able to get to her," he told the station. "I'm actually really scared for her, and I hope someone is able to get to her to give her the help she needs."
Several other celebrities have reached out to Bynes and expressed their concern for the former child star including Britney Spears. In 2007, the pop singer had a public melt down of her own displaying erratic behavior and shaving her head.
According to Celebrity Fix, Spears reached out to Bynes begging her to contact her parents for help.
"Britney had a brief conversation with Amanda the week before her arrest and promised to personally help Amanda get her career back on track by helping her record music," a source told the website.
Spears also supposedly opened up to Bynes about her own public meltdown. She told Bynes that her parents getting involved in her meltdown ultimately saved her life.
Despite all the concern over Bynes' mental health, her attorney who is representing the DUI case in Los Angeles, is saying that the actress is fine. He told People magazine that there is nothing wrong with Bynes.
"I think Amada's fine. I have no problems with her whatsoever. She's a fine client," her attorney said.
