Cee Lo Green Pleads No Contest To Felony Drug Charges, Maintains He Did Not Spike Female Victim's Drink

Cee Lo Green has pleaded no contest to charges of furnishing ecstasy after a young woman accused the singer of purposefully drugging her beverage back in 2012.

The New York Daily News reports Green maintained his innocence during a hearing at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday. Judge Mark Young sentenced the “Forget Your” singer to three years of probation and 360 hours of community service.

Green has reportedly paid restitution to his unidentified female victim and has voluntarily attended substance abuse therapy sessions. The Los Angeles judge ordered the singer, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, to refrain from alcohol use while on probation.

Back in July 2012, the victim claimed Green spiked her drink while they were dining at s sushi restaurant, according to the Daily News. The victim claimed the lasting thing she remembered was being naked in bed with Green. However, prosecutors rejected a felony sexual assault charge in the case.

TMZ originally reported the story about Green and his accuser, who were no strangers at the time. The gossip site claimed the unidentified victim was a woman the singer had been dating for months before the incident.

Green’s legal troubles may have also damaged his relationship with NBC. The singer announced back in February he would be leaving the his NBC show “The Voice” on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

"I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC," Green told DeGeneres. "I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice too. So I'm not coming back, guys."
