Kanye West Confronted Jay Pharoah Over MTV VMA Impression (VIDEO)

Apparently, Kanye West isn't too happy about comedian Jay Pharoah's impression of him during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

During his 90-mintue performance at the Budweiser Made in America Festival on Saturday, the rapper told the crowd that he confronted Pharoah after his spoof on the awards show. Kim Kardashian's husband said he told the "Saturdany Night Liive" comedian a story about his life struggles.

"I called Jay Pharoah right after the MTV Video Music Awards and I said, 'You know, I appreciate your show, but let me tell you about my story, let me tell you what I went through to get to that position,'" he told the crowd, according to MTV.

West told the crowd that he is not a joke and should not be spoofed, according to MTV News.

"I'm not making it a black or white thing right now, but I'm telling you if you see a black guy anywhere, he had to work 12 times as hard, excuse me," he continued. "So we ain't gonna have no black comedians going up on stage spoofing the people who are working hard to open doors not only for black people, but for any creators, beauty, truth, creativity, positivity and just helping the next man out with love, with love, with love, with love, with love."

The rapper also went on a rant about Sway of MTV and Charlamagne Tha God of radio station Power 105.

"And I got love for Sway, I got love for Charlamagne, I got love for all these people. Anybody in the media, all the tabloid covers," West said. "I know everybody's doing their job, but before we go to the next song I want people to realize that what we do, we put our love, our heart, our pain, our story, our lives into it. Three a.m. every night in the studio for this."

During his set West performed new songs "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves," as well as older songs including, "Jesus Walks" and "All Falls Down."
