CeeLo Green’s Bizarre Rant about Rape: ‘People Who Have Really Been Raped Remember’

"The Voice" judge CeeLo Green has found himself in hot water after he reportedly sent out a slew of bizarre tweets about rape, shortly after pleading no contest for charges that he gave a woman ecstasy without her consent in 2012.

According to BuzzFeed, Green ranted about the case and attempted to define what rape is to fans who were questioning him about the case. In one of the tweets the "Only You" singer said that a woman can only be raped if she's conscious.

Since posting the comments, Green has deleted his Twitter account but BuzzFeed was able to get screenshots of the conversation. Check them out below:

"People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!"

"If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously," he tweeted, adding, "so WITH Implies consent!"

"When someone brakes on a home there is broken glass where is your plausible proof anyone was raped."

"So I TRIED but did NOT succeed but the person said I DID then what really happened?"

On Aug. 29, the 39-year-old singer plead no contest to a felony drug charge stemming from the 2012 incident. In court, the woman alleged that Green gave her ecstasy without her consent then raped her. According to BuzzFeed, the woman said she woke up next to Green but was not sure what had happened the night before. Green's lawyer said that the two had "consensual relations."

Prosecutors didn't convict Green for allegedly raping the woman because there was not enough evidence but the singer was sentenced to three years probation and 45 days of community service for the drug charge.

After Green's Twitter rant, he deleted the tweets and issued an apology before shutting down his entire account.

"Let me 1st praise God for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context. I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I'd never condone the harm of any women. Thank you."
