Fashion has lost its toughest critic.
Joan Rivers passed away Thursday at 81 years old. The legendary comedian was placed on life support after suffering complications while undergoing a throat operation in New York City last week.
While family and fans mourn the loss of a truly funny lady, E! Network hosts remember their brightest star on "Fashion Police".
Giuliana Rancic released a heartfelt tribute to her "Fashion Police" co-star and friend - calling Rivers a "true genius" and "truly beautiful person." The two worked together on the E! Network for about 13 years and have hosted several red carpet events.
The 40-year-old television personality said, "I woke up today unable to grasp what the world will be like without her and at the same time felt so privileged to have called her my friend."
"It is almost impossible to describe how much I adored Joan and how much she has meant to me," Rancic said, according to E! Online. "She was not only the funniest woman I have ever met but was incredibly loving, honest, and lived her life with no regrets. Working with her for the last 13 years has been one of the true joys of my life. She could put a smile on your face, instantly, no matter how hard your day was."
Rancic continued: "My heart goes out to Melissa and Cooper who have lost something that can never be replaced. Their bond was truly one-of-a-kind. They had the greatest mother and grandmother anyone could ever hope for. My life is so much fuller and happier because I got to share it with this beautiful person, a true genius."
Fellow "Fashion Police" panelist Kelly Osbourne also remembered the comedian, writing in a Facebook post that she was "completely heartbroken by the loss" of her beloved friend.
"Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew," the 29-year-old television personality said in a post. "She was family and I will never forget her. Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I'm sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her."
Co-host George Kotsiopoulos sent out a simply Tweet, writing, "Rest in peace @Joan_Rivers. Thank you for changing my life. I will miss you so much."
The passing of Rivers has left the future of her show uncertain. The network has not produced a new epsiode, but instead will be airing "E! From Fashion Week" specials.
"Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates," the network said in a statement, according to Deadline.
