Joan Rivers Inspired Young Fans Through Social Media

The world lost a true comedic talent yesterday afternoon when Joan Rivers died in a New York hospital at age 81.

Despite her age, Rivers was an inspiration to young girls, as well as woman from her generation.

Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, posted a written statement from the family on all of Rivers' social media outlets - the same place she connected with her youngest fans.

She used social media to its full potential, interviewing celebrities of all ages on her YouTube channel, "In Bed With Joan," tweeting comical tidbits from her day-to-day life and sharing pictures of her ageless QVC fashions on Facebook and Instagram.

If there was a social media outlet, Rivers was all over it, connecting with her fans and making them laugh.

Less than two weeks ago, she was on Twitter asking her fans what she should buy her waxer for her birthday. Her young followers were all over her sharing the questions and giving their own unique responses.

In memory of Rivers, take a look at her last YouTube video, interviewing LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian in the final episode of "In Bed With Joan."
