Gisele Bundchen is fighting back! The former Victoria Secret model shows off her physical strength by repeatedly punching and kicking a heavy bag in a new video for Under Armour's "I Will What I Want" ad campaign.
In the 63-second clip released on Thursday, the 34-year-old Brazilian supermodel is shown attacking a heavy punching bag, while both negative and positive comments made by the media and by fans are shown on the wall of a warehouse.
Some comments include "She's nothing special at all," "She's old," "Stick to modeling sweetie," and "She's a mother and an inspiration." The video ends with the slogan, "I will what I want."
"This incredibly inspirational initiative serves as a powerful reminder of all the amazing things women can do despite the pressures and criticisms we may encounter," Bundchen said in a statement. "Having the strength to tune out negativity and remain focused on what I want gives me the will and confidence to achieve my goals."
According to the Under Armour website, the ad's mission highlighted Bündchen's "raw athleticism and ability to tune out public opinion and stay focused on her goals."
"The footage of Gisele working out is populated by real comments from critics and supporters, including from the initial reaction to her Under Armour partnership announcement," the press release stated. "The brand is showing a side of Gisele we don't normally get to see and highlighting her inner and outer strength as not only a fashion icon, but as an incredibly athletic female."
The Brazilian beauty is only the second person to represent the fitness brand's new initiative - following American Ballet Theatre soloist Misty Copeland.
