Drew Carey is horrified that a group of Ohio teenagers would dump a bucket of feces, urine, spit and cigarette butts on a 15-year-old special-needs kid in an ALS Ice Bucket prank. The "Price is Right" host took to Twitter and said he would donate $10,000 to help police find the teens responsible.
"WTF? Just saw this. Horrendous. These kids should be arrested and expelled," Carey tweeted, linking to a story about the prank.
According to Cleveland.com, a Bay Village High School student with autism was tricked into doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge unaware that the bucket was full of fluids. The teens captured the incident on the boy's cellphone and then uploaded it to social media.
Those responsible for the prank are believed to be classmates with the victim. In a press release, Bay Village police said they are "working closely with the Bay Schools, analyzing the device used to record the video, interviewing witnesses, determining exactly where and when this occurred and identifying those involved. Preliminary information suggests this occurred prior to the start of the school year at a home in Bay Village."
After the police are done with their investigation, the information will be turned over to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor's office, Cleveland.com reports. The teens could face charges. On Friday, two Bay Village graduates, Elizabeth Sweeney and her sister Sarah Sweeney, held a rally in support of the autistic boy.
"We wanted something positive to come out of a horrible act," Elizabeth told Cleveland.com. "We got an overwhelming response from everyone."
