Google has made an Explorer Edition of its Glass headset available at its Play devices store.
While fans of the search giant will be disappointed to hear that the model doesn't have a low price ($1,500 to be exact), they will be happy to hear that they will get a "free" pair of shades or frames with their purchase, according to CNET.
Google is beginning to face competition in the smartglass market, with Sony unveiling its own pair of frames and other companies introducing their own concepts at the lastest Consumer Electronics Show.
Being placed in the category of "Explorer" gives the eyewear more of a sports feel than a smart tech feel, TechCrunch reported.
Glass going on sale in stores represents the increasing availability of the technology, and making the device easier to obtain gives Google the opportunity to expand its potential user base.
