Kelly Osbourne is unfortunately mourning the loss of her "Fashion Police" co-host from a hospital bed.
Yahoo Celebrity News reported that the 29-year-old socialite has been hospitalized with pneumonia. Osbourne took to Instagram to reveal her current health condition, shortly before the news of Rivers' death was made public.
"When you have a cough go to the doctor or you will end up like me! #Pneumonia," Osbourne captioned a picture of herself laying in a hospital bed holding up a small red sign which read, "Why I am in the hospital."
Osbourne also took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support, writing, "Thank you 4 all your love & support it goes without saying that this is 1 of the worst days of my life! We all must stay strong 4 @MelRivers."
Osbourne took to her Facebook page Thursday to pay tribute to Rivers, a woman she called a close friend and the only grandmother she has ever known. Rivers passed away Thursday at the age of 81, after being taken off life support.
"I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan," Osbourne wrote. "Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her. Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I'm sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her."
She continued: "Melissa and Cooper, my thoughts are with you and I love you both so much. Joan, thank you for taking me in and loving me as a daughter. I will miss you deeply and will always hear your voice in my head saying 'my darling get out there and be you!'"
