Last month Beyoncé rocked the stage at the 2014 MTV VMAs with a 15-minute medley of songs from her self-titled album. On Friday, the "Drunk in Love" singer gave fans another treat when she released a behind-the-scenes video of how she prepared for the awards show.
"Flashback Friday! A behind the scenes look at the weeks leading up to the 2014 MTV VMAs," Beyoncé wrote on Facebook.
The four-minute video shows the singer and her nearly 50 dancers preparing routines, saying a backstage prayer and then Beyonce celebrating afterwards with her husband, Jay Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy.
The footage reveals a different side to Beyoncé. She's a perfectionist, is very involved in the entire process of preparing for a show and has a great connection with her dancers. The singer not only performed but was given the Michal Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
"I'm so full. I have nothing to say, but I'm so filled with so much gratitude," she said as she accepted the award. "I just thank God for this moment. I love y'all so much."
The day before Beyoncé posted the video (Thursday, Sept. 4), she celebrated her 33rd birthday with her husband and daughter. A source told E! News that the family took a trip to Corsica and reportedly rented a $800,000 yacht.
"They've had their problems, but they're still solid," a source told E!. "Going away for Beyoncé's birthday in September is a tradition they have. It's a chance to get some quality time together and relax, far from worries about their crazy work schedules."
Jay Z wished the "Diva" singer a happy birthday in a cute video montage from their joint "On The Run" tour.
