Joe Gallo recently graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and wanted to help his fraternity brother afford his medical costs.
He wasn't financially able to fund Bret Grund's stage four glioma, but he put his eating talents to work to raise awareness for the disease, the Huffington Post reported.
On May 21, Gallo started his 100-day challenge to eat a Chipotle burrito each day in order to raise awareness for Grund's condition.
He ate a burrito a day and documented it on Instagram with the hashtag #100DaysForGrundFund. He also linked to a GoFundMe fundraising account, where he raised $3,000 by the time the 100 days were complete.
On the last day of Gallo's challenge, he was joined by Elite Daily in Manhattan for a fundraiser at Ainsworth Park.
