Apple iPhone 6 Reveal: Anticipated Device Will Debut Today

Today is the big day for Apple fans as the tech giant is expected to unveil its much anticipated iPhone 6.

All rumors point to the device being made available in a 4.7-inch version and a 5.5-inch version, according to Business Insider. A recent rumor from Japanese Apple blog Macotakara claims that the smaller version will be named the "iPhone 6" and that the larger version will be named the "iPhone 6 Plus."

The report added that the 5.5-inch version will come in silver and white, silver and gold, and black and grey, the color schemes featured on Apple's iPhone 5s.

The latest rumor claims that popular band U2 will make an appearance at the iPhone 6's introduction, The Huffington Post reported. While a spokesperson for U2 denied that the band would participate, The New York Times and Irish Times say that the band will be involved in the event. Details on what U2 will be doing have yet to be revealed.

Apple is also expected to introduce a new wearable device at the event, with rumors saying it will be called the iWatch or iTime.

The launch event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Flint Center in Cupertino. Calif., TIME reported. iPhone fans will be able to watch the event live on Apple's website at Apple.com/Live.
