The Apple iPhone 6 reveal is turning into a celebrity-filled event. No Doubt signer Gwen Stefani posted a photo to her Instagram page of her and Apple employee Dr. Dre riding the same motorcade to the event. In the picture Stefani is holding a white iPhone and a pair of white Beats by Dre headphones.
"On my way to apple launch with dr dre," she captioned the photo.
This is the first time Dr. Dre will be at an Apple event in person. According to Slashgear.com, the rapper has participated over web calls in the past but since Apple bought Beats for $3 billion, Dre decided to experience the event in person.
The company could even mention the deal during the event. Other celebrities in attendance include singer-songwriter CoCo Lee, Dr. Oz, fitness instructor Jay Blahnik and Stephen Fry. There were also rumors that U2 would play a "significant part" in Tuesday's event.
According to the New York Times (via CraveOnline), sources said that the band could perform as well as reveal some kind of "integration" with the company. If the rumors are true, this wouldn't be the first time Apple and U2 have partnered up.
Back in 2004, the company released a "Special Edition" iPod that included signatures from the band members. Apple has also donated to Bono's Project Red charity in the past and it's been said that Bono was close friends with Steve Jobs.
Recent rumors hinted that U2's next album would come installed on the iPhone 6 but people close to the band dismissed the rumor.
