Thanks to Apple Pay, which comes included in the new iPhone 6, you may never need to carry a credit card with you again.
The new iPhone uses near field communication (NFC), allowing the phone to send information to the credit card machines used in stores, reports KCCI News.
To connect your credit cards to your phone, users will take a picture of the card with their iPhone camera. The card will be added to the iPhone's passbook account to be used when making purchases at a retailer, reports Newsday.
Some stores announced to be accepting Apple Pay by CEO Tim Cook at the unveiling of the iPhone 6 today include Macys, Panera, Sephora, Walgreens, McDonalds, Petco, Nike, Disney, Toys "R" Us, Whole Foods, Staples and Subway.
The NFC feature is intertwined with the fingerprint ID button on the phone. The fingerprint button was introduced to the iPhone with last year's iPhone 5S.
Apple Pay will also be available in the Apple Watch, planned to be released early next year with a starting price of $349.
