Joan Rivers to Appear on Upcoming Season of NBC's 'Celebrity Apprentice'

Looks like fans will get to see more of Joan Rivers.

The late comedian legend had filmed two episodes of NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice" before her death, The Los Angeles Time reported. Donald Trump, who is the executive producer and host, revealed the exciting news on Twitter.

"We just finished shooting a new season of 'Celebrity Apprentice' and happily for all, Joan plays my advisor in two episodes," Trump tweeted. "She was great!"

Trump also told Extra, "We just finished shooting Season 14, and Joan is a big part of two of the episodes. I mean a big part, and she was fantastic."

In 2009, Rivers won season two of the competition and helped raise over half a million dollars for the charity "God's Love We Deliver." The comedian returned to the show several times as a boardroom advisor.

In her final season on the NBC competition show, Rivers served as boardroom advisor for two tasks, but no other details are available. The new season has wrapped up production, but no premiere date has been set yet.

Rivers died last Thursday in New York at the age of 81 after she was hospitalized following a cardiac arrest during a minor throat surgery.

"It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother," Rivers' daughter Melissa said in a statement at the time of Joan's passing. "She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother. Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated. My mother's greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon."

Trump was one of the many celebrities who attended Rivers' funeral in New York on Sunday. Rivers' funeral featured performances by Audra McDonald and Hugh Jackman and a tribute by Howard Stern.
